Landscape Template Series: Hands-On Breakout Session 1

April 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Landscape Template Series:
Hands-On Breakout Sessions
April 6, 2019
Trained Landscape Template Advisors will be on hand to guide you in making modifications to the Landscape Templates, such as making plant substitutions with equivalent water needs from the approved plant substitution list, select optional elements and make simple markups to the Landscape Design Template you have chosen. The City of Santa Rosa permitting department will be on hand to review/approve completed landscape plans.
What to do next?
Step 1. Verify that your front yard is no more than 2,500 square feet.
Step 2. Choose the Landscape Template that you would like to adapt to your site.
Step 3. Print your plan, see note below on size and paper type option.
Step 4. Register for a Hands-On Breakout Session at www.savingwaterpartnership.org:
Session 1 – April 6, 2019, 10:00am to 12:00pm (limited seating)
Session 2 – April 6, 2019, 1:00pm to 3:00pm (limited seating)
*The Hands-On Breakout Sessions are not design consultations. If more complex modifications are desired, design assistance is available through your local landscape professionals.
What to bring to the Hands-On Session?
To ensure our advisors have all the necessary information to assist you on Saturday, January 26, please bring the following required items:
1. A 24″ x 36″ size, 1/4 scale (1” = 4’) copy of your site plan page and a 24″ x 36″ size, 1/4 scale copy of pages
L-1.0 and L-2.0 of the template you choose from the Landscape Templates options. It is optional to print the sheets on vellum paper rather than standard 24″ x 36″ paper. Using semi-transparent vellum paper makes the editing process easier.
2. In lieu of bringing 24″ x 36″ pages of L3.0 through RW-1.0, you may choose to use the 8.5″ x 11″ Permit Application Packet. (Available on the Template webpage)
The following optional items may be useful depending on the complexity of your landscape design:
1. If pathways will be any material other than mulch, please bring a printed copy of the Optional Path and Sidewalk Details Packet. (Available on the Template webpage)
2. If you are considering the optional, sustainable landscape features, please bring a printed copy of the Optional Landscape Elements Packet. (Available on the Template webpage)
3. If installing a new driveway, please bring a copy of the Optional Driveway Details Packet. (Available on the Template webpage)
