Rebuilding for Comfort, Efficiency, and Resilience

November 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

New construction is the best time to build in the features that deliver high performance and durability over the life of your home. A key benefit of a new home designed and built in compliance with current codes includes the energy cost savings a homeowner will experience. Better insulation, better building tightness, more durable construction, and highly efficient heating and cooling systems are not only required by building code but are easier and less expensive to include when you’re building a new structure.

The County of Sonoma’s Energy and Sustainability Division is conducting two free workshops to help homeowners include energy and water saving features in their new construction and rebuild projects. Topics covered will include cost-effective ways to include high efficiency improvements in home design, solar PV and battery storage, considerations for your design team, and the availability of rebates or incentives. The workshops will take place on October 22, 2018 from 7 – 8:30 pm at the Rincon Valley Library and November 14, 2018 from 7 – 8:30 at the Central Santa Rosa Library.
