North Bay Forest Improvement Program

CalFire Wildfire Resiliency and Forestry Grant of $1.5M
Awarded to Rebuild NorthBay Foundation and the 5 Resource Conservation
Districts of the North Bay.

Rebuild NorthBay Foundation (RBNF), in partnership with the five Resource Conservation Districts (RCDs) of Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, and Napa Counties, is excited to announce the launch of a new North Bay Forest Improvement Program thanks to $1.5M in Proposition 68 funding awarded via a CALFIRE Wildfire Resilience and Forestry Assistance grant. This program will bring critical resources to treat wildfire hazards on private properties throughout the region, with a focus on serving disadvantaged communities.

The North Bay Forest Improvement Program (NBFIP) will start in January 2021 and run for three years to support planning and implementation of projects on private forested lands to reduce risks of wildfire and promote forest health. The program will provide financial incentives to landowners to conduct this critical work.

If you are interested in participating in the program please contact your local RCD for more information. Contacts are listed below.
